Guest-hosted by local performing songwriter, Azaima Anderson, who writes:

The first performers were a diversely-talented group of songwriters and multi-instrumentalists called Grand Union, a “collective” of musicians from Las Cruces who generously back up each other on songs each has written in a wide variety of styles.

Playing Americana, rock, alt-folk, and soul, they each played a variety of instruments and shared leads on a few songs before they left to set up for a gig at Little Toad Creek Brewery and Distillery.

Next up was local performing songwriter, Raven S Hunter, playing songs from her beautiful CD, Blue Moon Café. Raven records her own songs out of her home studio. She has passed on her passion for music to her grandchildren, who are now recording, themselves. In addition to songwriting for entertainment purposes, Raven is recording a CD designed to open the chakras, and teaches workshops designed to facilitate this process.

Finally, we hosted David Gideon and Dallas Burrow, embarking on a tour together delivering “deft, driving rock-soul.”

Gideon grew up on a commune in Tennessee, outside New Orleans, where he learned to play drums from Billy Cobham, who played for Miles Davis and recorded on his albums.

Dallas Burrow grew up in the music business, has met many of the major players, and has opened for musicians including the Dave Matthews Band and contemporary indie groups.  A brilliant lyricist, Dallas is committed to uplifting his audience, even as he tells the truth about what he sees.  Keep an eye out for this man.  We heard him when…

It costs a lot to run a radio station and, so far, it is all volunteers, including the hardest worker […]
